Rosemary Brown Recreation Centre
Burnaby’s latest venue, the Rosemary Brown Recreation Centre, which opened in April 2024, is a state-of-the-art facility where sports and community activities converge. Spanning an impressive 8,500 square meters (92,000 square feet), the center is designed to cater to a diverse range of interests and activities, from ice sports like hockey, figure skating, and ringette to lacrosse, ball hockey and community events.
At the core of the facility are two NHL-sized rinks, fully accessible for spectators and athletes, with rink-side seating and warm-side arena viewing. The facility is complemented by amenities for all your event needs, including meeting and multi-purpose rooms, an on-site skate shop and concession, while the rooftop patio sets the stage for special events.
Committed to sustainability, the facility integrates innovative design and water conservation strategies to minimize the environmental impact. With features like north-facing windows for natural light and amenities like electric vehicle charging stalls and bicycle parking, the City of Burnaby is shaping a greener future for the community. A dedication to inclusivity is reflected in the universal gender-neutral washrooms, ensuring everyone feels valued and welcomed in Burnaby.
