“Sport Burnaby truly is the gold standard when it comes to hosting sporting events. Our experience partnering with them in hosting the 2016 World Taekwondo Junior Championships was exceptional and this is evident in the positive worldwide feedback we received following the event. The hospitality and facilities were world class and the legacies that were left behind to our sporting community will never be forgotten. With proactive, professional, and very passionate staff, we could not have asked for anything more from Sport Burnaby.”

Master Tony Kook, Vice President, Taekwondo BC

The 2019 World Ringette Championships hosted in Burnaby, B.C. were an overwhelming success. The Host Committee’s dedication to making this a world class event was noticed on a national and international level. Being able to host an international ringette event in British Columbia has showcased the sport in a province where registration is continually growing. The 2019 World Ringette Championships increased overall capacity for ringette in the province, from participation to volunteers and overall hosting and we are looking forward to seeing more events here.

We knew as early as during the preparation of our bid to host the National Rowing Championships that Sport Burnaby was just as committed as we were to deliver an exceptional event. Their unwavering support combined with relevant experience and professionalism makes them a partner that you know you can rely on in any situation. Additionally, they value the power of authentic relationships and they helped us create and foster partnerships of our own within Burnaby that are critical to the success of the championships and the further development of rowing. If you have the opportunity to work with Sport Burnaby—do it!
