Recognize and celebrate the history, heritage, resilience, and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples at Burnaby’s National Indigenous Peoples Day celebration at Civic Square. This free community event invites visitors of all ages to experience Indigenous culture through live performances, storytelling, art, and family-friendly activities in the heart of Burnaby.
What’s Included
The celebration features dance, live music, spoken word, and storytelling performances from Indigenous artists and performers. Visitors can browse an Indigenous artisans market, learn traditional Indigenous games, and participate in soccer drills with Hope and Health. Burnaby Art Gallery’s BAG on a Bike mobile printing station will also be on-site. The event offers an opportunity to connect with Indigenous cultures, traditions, and creative practices in a welcoming community setting. Learn more here.
