Burnaby to Host 2026 U19 NORCECA Men’s Continental Volleyball Championship

January 15, 2026 – Volleyball Canada has announced the 2026 U19 NORCECA Men’s Continental Championship will be held at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC, May 12 to 17, 2026.

“We are very pleased to be hosting this continental championship in Burnaby, a community known for its support of volleyball from grassroots to competitive programs,” said Alan Ahac, Volleyball Canada’s director of international competitions. “With partners such as Tourism Burnaby, Volleyball BC and SFU, we’re confident this will be a successful event showcasing the city and its facilities to fans and visiting participants alike.”

The tournament will feature eight teams from NORCECA – North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation, which includes Team Canada and USA. Matches will be contested at the SFU West Gym, with a detailed schedule and ticket information to be released in the coming weeks.

The tournament is an important part of the development pathway for athletes with their sights set on the senior National Team program, and for teams, counts toward qualifying for the next U19 World Championship. The USA won the last U19 continental title in 2024 after winning the final over Cuba. Host country Puerto Rico was awarded bronze after beating Canada.

Volleyball Canada is looking forward to working with local partners, including Tourism Burnaby and Simon Fraser University, help promote and execute this event.
