TJ Fest returns to Burnaby on May 2 and 3, 2026, marking 15 years of community celebration, culture, and connection. Held at Tian-Jin Temple and along Smith Avenue, this two-day event brings together food, performances, and cultural experiences in one of Burnaby’s most lively neighbourhood settings.
Free to attend and open to all, TJ Fest offers an easy way to spend a day exploring Taiwanese culture while connecting with the broader community.
A Weekend Rooted in Culture and Community
At the centre of TJ Fest is the Kuan-Kung Cultural Showcase, highlighting the values of loyalty, righteousness, benevolence, and bravery. Through performances, exhibits, and interactive displays, visitors can experience traditions that continue to shape the festival today.
With more than 30,000 attendees in recent years, TJ Fest has grown into one of Burnaby’s most anticipated spring events, drawing visitors from across the region.

What to Expect
Taiwanese Food and Street Eats
Food is a major draw at TJ Fest, with a lineup of Taiwanese favourites available throughout the festival grounds. From savoury street food to sweet treats, there’s plenty to try.
Food vendors are located near the main performance stage and at Avondale Park.
Live Performances
Throughout the weekend, enjoy a full schedule of multicultural performances, including music, dance, and the festival’s signature drum team. Performances run from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.
Vendor Market
Take a walk along Smith Avenue to explore a curated market featuring local artisans and vendors. Expect handmade goods, artwork, and unique items that reflect the creativity of the community.
Family-Friendly Activities
