OBSERVATORY
Trottier Observatory & Science Courtyard
Located at the top of Burnaby Mountain, the Trottier Observatory offers free public stargazing during its regular “Starry Nights” events. Look through telescopes, learn from volunteers, and explore the outdoor courtyard with space to pause and take in the night sky. It’s an accessible, community-focused experience that runs on clear Friday evenings.

PLANETARIUM
BCIT Planetarium
One of Burnaby’s lesser-known spaces, the BCIT Planetarium hosts public shows, educational programs, and immersive laser and fulldome experiences. From astronomy presentations to music-driven visual shows, it offers a different way to explore the night sky indoors.
Good to Know: Show schedules vary and tickets are required for most events. The facility is not wheelchair accessible.
